I own a Redline Ion and looked at the SS/SC for a while, yes they are the same, just different cosmetically. The cobalt is heavier though, making it slightly slower, but it would mainly come down to who hits their shift points.

redlines are such a good buy if you want cheap speed.

Lol ha. The cobalt has the same damn engine. You guys are silly. The cobalts base engine is the 2.2 liter 140 horse power engine. The saturn ion level 2 base engine is also the same, but with a slight increase of 5 horses over the cobalt. The ion redline and the cobalt ss both have 205 supercharged 2.0 liter engine.

You realize the Ion Redline is exactly the same as your SS/SC? Unless you have stage 1 or 2 you would be neck and neck with the Redline.
