they stoped making the supra because it cost as much as corvette or other high end sport cars of the day. And no one was willing to pay that kind of money for a Toyora. Toyota's market studys showed that a person willing to spend big bucks was going to buy a car with prestige to it's name IE a Porche, a Corvette, a BMW. Supras really only got popular a few years after they stopped prodcution of them.
