My 85 TA has the 305 HO with an auto tranny...the HO engines for 1985 only came with standard trannys but my car origionally had teh 2.8L V6 and the previous owner before me swapped in the 305 HO and an auto tranny.

305 had manual transmission while the 350 had automatic. My friend has a 350 with a 16 pound turbo. It fuckin blows the doors of most cars.

I use to have a 78 trans am with a pontiac 400 motor. My 86 305tpi automatic out blows the doors off my other car. There is something about that engine that gets a lot of attention more than a 350 tpi. go figure

My first car was an 86 TA and you are wrong there were no 350 V-8s in TA's that year and only a few IROCs had them.
