T4 is a general term - a housing only - says really nothing about the turbo itself with that said i have run my stock bottom VR at 24psi and made over 460whp at the wheels with the same fueling setup however - the jetta should reroute its BOV back to the intake - it will help spool a bit quicker and make that pesky CE light go away VRs can handle lots of boost as long as you give it 12:1 a/f at wot ; )

T4 with that much boost? that vr's guna grenade dude. They always do...

i have a 96 jetta and wanna toss a crate vr6 with a turbo on it, into my car... is this possible at all and if so does anyone know where i can order engines ive looked everywhere

Dude I drive a mk3 vr6 and it's a strong little car no doubt about it, but I think a 1.8t is easier to mod and if u chip a 1.8 it can pretty much take on any stock vr6 out there, now remember i said stock. Bc once u turbo a vr6 it's a whole differente story..
