There is apparently one making closer to 1000 RB (nissan) engines go to about that level too 6 bolt 4g63s (mitsubishi) will handle 500awhp, and the new 4gs in the EVO's the power capability is unknown, close to 600 has been had. Many production LSX series engines come from the factory with more than 500whp 500+whp out of H22 honda engines You're right no other engine maxes out the stock short block at 440hp, most make a lot more
