i think you are confusing the facts. the srt has no muffler...that does not mean it does not have an exhaust system. it has a resonator after the cat. but the srt is more than enough to take on evos and stis stock for stock. the srt was underrated, EVERYONE knows that. it actually has closer to 265 horses at the crank with about 238 at the wheels with the sti 295/236. of course running from a stop puts the srt is a huge disadvantage, but it can and will happen.

I run a srt-4 motor turbo, the works. I have raced sti at the track and and never lost to one yet, I even dynoed my car to match a sti that wanted a race with around the same HP ( 360 around)and I got him (not by much), then he came back to track 5 months later and we raced agian but this time he was matching my 422 hp) and this time is was so damn close I couldn't believe it. but in all fairness I have alot more money dropped into my car then he does to keep up with me.

i totally understand that, however the gains are still very minimal. Your turbo may spool up like 200 rpm's quicker if your lucky. Which still isn't going to put you into the evo/sti class whatsoever. Like i said previously BPU vs. BPU srt-4 vs. evo/sti, you will get walked quite hard i have seen it many times at the track and until i see otherwise your bs will not sway change my view on your bs claims

yeah and if you knew anything about cars you would also realize that making the change from 2.5" exhaust to 3" exhaust makes a difference. in case you don't know i will let you know the difference. for one it will give you better throttle responce and for two helps you turbo spool up faster. oh and by the way if i was a "ricer" i prolly wouldn't know that would i

i totally understand where your coming from. But BPU for BPU an sti vs. an srt-4 would be a joke, no offense.

you make an interesting statement, you put an exhaust on your srt...?odd i was under the impression stock they had no exhaustso why add the restriction of an exhaust. Short ram intake nets you maybe 1-2 hp. Read my above comment and re-think what your saying Don't be mad because i am pointing out facts. i have a buddy with an srt-4 dynoing around 450 (agp stage 4 and other things) he can destroy an sti. Im not saying the car in this video has over 400 horsepower but it is possible. It is just not specified.

yea it would have kept up with a wrx, not an sti...just some food for thought look into the 1/4 mile times and sti vs. srt-4 enough said. Also for the record i don't drive either car, i have a 94 3000gt vr-4 and have raced both sti's and srt-4's. not 1 srt has even stayed with me from a dig or a roll...i do however like both the sti/wrx as well as the srt-4. I just don't like when people post dishonest vids. There is a vid floating around of a mustang gt barely pulling a 3000gt SL but says vr4..

chargers, especially the 68/69, are not by any means junk. They are probably the most respected and remembered muscle cars of all time. I do however support the srt-4 (I have one)

unless the srt was modified which is not specified in the description, therefore it could have easily kept up with him...

if it was a wrx it would be a blow out race not that close get a clue

just to let you know that the STI would not walk all over him from a dig or a roll, i have a srt4 with exhaust and short ram and i raced my friends sti from a dig and outta a roll and both times it was damn near even, yeah the sti had me out of the hole but by the time i hit second it was bumper to bumper. the only reason srts suck out of the hole is ther are not awd but i guess from seeing the video it don't matter now does it

You get what you pay for

srt 4 compares easily with evos and stis. there really isnt that big of a difference between a car with 300hp and a car with 265-270 hp(it missed tested at the dyno to 230 hp). people talk bad about it because they wasted their money on expensive stis and evos..i mean for almost the same power, would you really want to spend 37,000 dollars or below 20,000..im not sayin dont buy an evo or sti. if you got that kind of money go ahead and get the sti/evo.

point is that car is NOT an STI...it is a wrx, STI will walk all over a neon from a dig or a roll...and btw rolls are for fat chicks not for racing....
