I agree with ya on the warranty!! I get 32 MPG and 25 MPG when running balls to the wall. Plus I only dropped $19000 and covered bumper-to-bumper till 100,000 miles.

no, it's probably right around 255 whp with those mods. but saying he puts a "butt hurtin" and that there's no competition is being a little ignorant. 255 is where probably 90% of all cobalts are. it's nothing impressive. good for mid 13's with a good driver.

With your mod list you probably make closer to 230 whp which would put you in the range of a stock srt-4.... Most of the cars you mentioned above take to mods much better then your car. And aren't limited to the factory blower system...

Redline ION's deserve much respect. I got GMPP Shorty Header, K&N CAI,strut tower stabilizer bar, 42lb injectors, 2.8" intense racing pulley, Stage 2 reflash...pushing 17PSI in my ION Competition Package REDLINE. Over 255 to the wheels...and I love butt hurting Cobalt SS's (cuz most are stock), WRX's,Civic's(of all types), 350Z's (cuz most are stock too),Camaro's, and Mustangs...it is really hard to find real competition now...and all get butt hurt when I spank them like little babies!!!!!!!!

Oh, I know there is a lot more to do. I just enjoy my warranty that I spent extra cash on. Also, I was talking about balls-deep on the motor mounts because of messing with the harmonics and adding vibrations to the car I spend a good 50 miles per day in.

Nice vid. I got an 06, I wanna go stage kit but im goin balls deep into the motor over the winter and just do it all instead of puts with it. And that will still be way under 5000 for me. Fortunatly I can do all the work myself. What a great SaaB Drivetrain, Look overseas and these guys are making aton more power than we are. Do your research. Theres alot more than just the "stage kit" you can do to these things.

I just bought the traction bars myself. I'm a little worried about going in balls-deep and getting the motor mounts as this is my daily driver/grocery-getter. The stage II (as indicated by the video) is well well worth it. I'd like for you to let me know how that exhaust sounds with the gmpp header and random tech exhaust.

wow so sickass cobalt 5,000 on a stage 1 that sucks you got ripped off but nice video man i just got my stage 2 ordered with the gmpp honed headers, the random tech downpipe to random tech exhaust, the bwoody tranny and motor mounts , and traction bars hopefully all a good investment way under 5,000 ;)

You're right, a stock IRL is rated to do a top speed of 144. Of course, we wouldn't know how fast it really is without a GPS due to the speedometer topping out at 140. Everybody seems to be retarded in the virtual world and is completely missing the entire point of the video. It's not a "woo, look how fast my car is; it'll beat everything on the highway" video. It's simply a comparison of acceleration from stock to GMPP Stage II put out there for other people to use as a REFERENCE.
