Ohh this brings back so many memories! I loved the older NFS games, like NFS II, NFS Hot Pursuit and High Stakes. They were truly great games. This BS that they have now is just crap.

well greenwood4365: I still love NFS underground 1 and 2(a little), and classic NFS games like NFS 2 hot pursuit, high stakes, porsche unleased and hot pursuit 3, but the rest in my opinion are boring even though they have hot pursuit mode and supercars also, and dont have a lot of car options to customize ur car like underground 1 and 2. and the only problem with underground 1 in my opinion is dat they did not make the city be a "drive anywhere" city . but, this game should be remade.

Yup a classic. I've got it still on my vista laptop and still play it on my ps3. LOL! It would be a great idea to port the game to the DS or PSP. The game itself is like 400mb. you could just tweak it a little to make it fit on a 265mb DS card. And 4 the PSP, you could keep the same pwnage physics engine and the sweet UNCUSTOMIZED CARS, and improve the graphics. Mabey even a track editor that lets you post it online for dl!!!! My fav track was Kindiak Park based in the Canada.

the only game in the world to have a 4th gen firebird. played all nfs minus 1, 2 SE, and prostreet. prostreet looked like garbage. I can say that 4 probably had best replay value and had you on ur seat from beginning to end. I'm not kidding, we really should petition for a remake somehow. i'd buy it in a hartbeet.

i couldn't agree any better videogamedude999. i wish ea would remake this game for psp or put it for dl on psn w/ better graphics and online play.. high stakes mode would be tight as f***! id definitely buy it.

For some reason, way back when I played it for my PS, I seemed to think they were poking fun of the success of another popular racing game at the time, Gran Turismo (to which its sequel came out a few months after the release of NFS4, in 1999). That being said, Hot Pursuit still rocks.

It's hilarious how this intro bashes the very thing that NFS has become.
