Good race. Both cars are close. Those Cobras run good if you keep the rpms up. LT1's are strong in the low end and midrange power. Both sound awesome.

I left out 96-98, LOL! Too bad it wasn't a 95 Cobra R with a 351.

It's not about stock, man... It's about what you bring to the party. Ever see the Volkswagen drags? Cars with 36hp. stock now run in the 7s with the same motor. Does it hurt to be dumb?

You're right, in 95 the placed bigger gears, also the motor jumped 10 hp from 275hp (93, 94) to 285hp (95, 96, 97).

289 for the 4.6 cobra, not 281 - thats on GTs, you're close though. ;)

Gear swap makes all the difference in the worldon SN-95 Cobras. Bolted in a set of 3.90's and whipped up on an LS-1 WS-6.

the new gt's weigh about 300 lbs hevier than your car and only 300 hp. so i;m sure you can beat one but not by much. maybe 1-2 cars. but i ran 13.40 on my cobra stock. after 4.10 and bolt ons and tune it went 12.95. i only got 15 hp over the 98 cobra stock for stock so i'm positive these cobras can hit 13's

my lt1 has just intake and exhaust and I have beaten 2 late model GTs and I had a close race against a saleen [manual transmission, non supercharged], I guess my formula have about 300hp now, and Saleens have like 320 [i think]... I really dont think that a stock cobra can do 13.8 in the ¼ mile...

lt1 is 285hp vs 4.6 dohc 305 hp stock lt1 runs 14.0 vs dohc 13.8 in the 1/4

stock for stock... not really, lt1 is superior

you got gears? get 'em and practice on your shiftin, a 97 cobra should be able to kill an lt1.

I would like to run this Tranny with my Cobra. Those damn WS6 Tranny's keep kicking my ass. Have ran 2 now from a 40 MPH roll and got beat both times. I think I'm gonna invest in the Venom 400 chip...supposed to add %25 to your HP. Maybe I will fare better then.

i got an 01 cobra with CAI, 62mm twin T.B., pulleys, o/r x-pipe, borla cat back, 3.73 and a G.M.S. tune and runs faster than C5 vettes with 6 spd. ran 12.75 in the 1/4. swap your heads to 03 cobra heads.

its a 6spd with 3.43's

Fbody racing u are crazy,If it had 2:73 gears that Cobra would have walked his ass real fast, their would have been no race. Probably atleast 3:08 or 3:55 gears in the Tranny.
