v6 or the 4.7 cause theres just no way the hemi gets better gas milage
I love it! I'm not much of an off roader but like the option of 4 wheel drive for bad weather... snow and ice and such. I traded in my gas guzzling F-150 for a new Grand Cherokee and love it! Almost double the fuel economy and much more comfortable. A lot easier to get a around a cramped parking lot too. It's by no means meant to conquer the Rubicon trail... it's meant for on road performance with light duty off road capability.
the only thing i dont like about the new Grand Cherokee is where the key goes into the dash, ive switched off the car with my knee a few times. other than that there ace
Thats weird because all the problems you just described, I have them too. I just bought a used 2001 4x4 Jeep Grand Cherokee a few months ago. Is it really worth it too keep it that long...??
the 3.0 CRD is the best 4x4 i have ever been in
only in a jeep O|||||O
/but Jeep's part are low in quality/
At least they dont break down as much as Land Rover.
At the moment Land Rover is far beyond stock Jeeps. The only capable stock Jeep is the Rubicon. All others have far too little ground clearance and stiff suspension meanwhile.
That new GC is horrible. The last two GC were such nice vehicles but this new one, no thanks. Front IRS and hardly any ground clearance anymore. I wonder how they got the trail rated badge on these SUV`s.
I'd like to see what a Range Rover could do on that same test. Its Jeep's only real rival.
It might be able to perform that, but Jeep's part are low in quality, I don't need to defend that statement, I have plenty of examples.

Well i brought one recently ive had nothing but troubles with it.Ive had stalling issues with the automatic.Dashboard light problems.Air Cond and the last one was the breaks.Breaks failed and slid around a corner and straight side onto a power pole.Airbags deployed thats one thing that worked i suppose.LOL
no he means 4.7, the 5.7 is new for 05'+
The new '05+ models still get the 4.7 v8 from the WJ's
Lets try an Ford Explorer on this :)
me and my friends were offroadin one of them over the weekend and totaled it into a tree lol
ce drumuri rele avem i iasi, sunt nevoite masinile sa mearga pe birne in oras :))))))
you mean 5.7 Hemi not 4.7
looked like that was going to flip on the flex show
I have one of these babies a 2006 Limited 4x4 4.7L V-8 version w/everything including satellite navigation, but no sunroof. It's fun to drive!!
you just said they weren't welded. so duh back at chea. Repair centers are crap anyway, what every they can to get money
The fact is, the door was caught before major damage happened on the overland, but the bracket / hinge still sprung. The repair center is the one that explained the welding issue to me, so duh to him !!
I am a chrysler fan to, but with all the previous Jeeps I've owned, kind of strange it has happened to both my redesigned Jeeps.
haha holy crap, I have a 2002 Dodge Ram and the same thing happened. Even though they are both chryslers, its not quality. I've seen numorous accounts of situations as these, and since the doors of my truck and your suv have a much larger surface area for the wind to act on, more force was applied cause the damage to the hinge (or in my case, the bracket). There is only so much a door can take ;) And duh they aren't welded because the door needs to be adjusted for gaps
They are bolted but NOT welded on !! |
