You really don't get the point. A sleeper is by definition a car which goes fast but doesn't 'look' like it normally would. How fast it actually goes is irrelevant. A sleeper is normally quite slow, which a Tib is. Now while you may have a point that my Ultimate Sleeper call may be a little enthusiastic, to go on and say that an Evo or WRX STI is a better sleeper is nonsense. They 'look' like, and are fast cars. A normal Tib is neither therefore can be a sleeper. Or am I still ignorant? eWanker.

This car hardly looks like a purpose built machine, it wouldn't stand out at all cursing the streets IMHO, hence my sleeper call. How the hell can an evo be a better sleeper than a Tib? People know Evos are bloddy fast ever from the factory, Tibs on the otherhand are known as a sporty GT coupe. A fast Tib would naturally be a better sleeper than an Evo because people don't expect it to be fast in the first place. Stock Tibs runs the 1/4 in mid 16s Stock Evos run the 1/4 in low 13s Get it yet?

i dont think of it as a "sleeper" because it looks like a tiburon that would be fast. after i saw it in person i would say something along the lines of, "Hey that car looks like it is a purpose built drag car, i bet its faster then it looks" which is not what a sleeper is. an full interior evo/sti with 600awhp is not a lot different looking then a evo/sti with 220awhp. 11.1 is fast, not saying it isnt, especially for a tiburon, but it wasnt sleeper, it looks the part

just because this is the "fastest" tiburon does not mean that all tiburon's have "potential", they do not. they are a poor place to start a drag build. ONE person built a purpose built drag tiburon and almost hit 10's, sweet! but it doesnt speak for every hyundai or tiburon. ONE example.lol "you want potential"?? how many evo's,sti/wrx's and dsm's have hit 11's with their OEM stock block???? cool that a tiburon hit 11.1@128mph, but as a whole, they still suck as performance vehicles.

i got my 03 tiburon about a year ago for 9000 dollars >_> plus 5k for an assassin kit and another 2K for upgrades = around 400whp for 16,000 dollars not bad imo
