Yeah, I work at a honda dealership, I drove alot of Si's and somebody traded in the sports V6 tiburon with a 6/speed. Its more fun to drive than the SI but the SI is faster. Dont forget, its got a 2.7l V6 and the SI has a 2.4L I4. Only .3 literes difference. Honda is a better company than hyundai anyways.

Well i got a cvic si, let me tell you vtec is engaged the whole time after first gear. It does not take long to get there. I killed a tiburon i think it was a 2001. Also killed the new one it had a v6, so i'm going to stick with honda.

your only pussing 11 psi in that srt4 r u kidding me a stock srt4 can push at least 13 and with just a little bolt on's you could push like maybe 15 to 16 u didnt need that like 600 dollar screen in ur car u should of got upgrades but still nice car and its fast but it could be way fuckin faster

Ok, all you have to do is think. In first gear, how long does it take you to get to 4k rpms? like 2 seconds? I'm not saying anything about which car makes it to 4k rpm's first, because 1,) I don't know and 2.) it doesn't matter. The point is its not very hard to keep VTEC engaged. Personally I think every car company should use some form of VVT. Imagine 350's with dohc, vvt technology, better heads (4 or 5 valves / cylinder) and so on. prolly cause VVT costs more to produce. Cheap Bastards

considering the new SI gets it's max torque (a staggering 139ft/lbs [note sarcasm]) at 6,200 rpm, i would consider it takes a lengthy time to get up to 4000 rpm. longer than it takes the tibs 180ft/lbs of torque (approx) at 3,800 rpm to get up to 4000 rpm, it's just a shame they didn't include vvt on the 6 cyl models

I'm not a honda guy, in fact, i'm completely anti-honda. but how long does it take you to get your car past like 4k rpm? once you pass 4k rpm or whatever the trigger is, then you can stay in the power band with VTEC engaged. if you're going from a roll, then downshift, get into the powerband and up shift accordingly.

well obviously you've never gone looking for parts for a tiburon cause many companies make aftermarket parts for them including AEM, Greddy, Injen, etc. thats not even scratching the surface of hyundai specific companies, who cater to making parts just for tibs. by the way, si's.... only fast once they hit vtec, which takes too long.

finding performance parts for a tiburon is hard! the reason it's hard it because the car sucks. That is why K&N won't even make a performance custom intake for that car. Better off getting a civic si stock to stock si wins anytime.

one thing for tiburon is that you can do so much upgrades to that car and it will hold all of those

i guess i think someone who would spend that kind of bank on a hyundai is just as crazy as someone who would buy a neon on steroids... props tho, if it really is hitting 13's that's pretty good.

as long as your still under 7/70...most people are...and it was a 1 in 1000 chance you would get a defective block and it applied to any 2.4l status ptcruiser anything

so you supercharge a tiburon and it keeps up with a basically bone stock srt-4, i mean these guys are cocks..but look at it this way they probably paid way to much for that car, but to say the srt-4 is a shit car is being stupid, its a strong block on a solid platform by 2002 they had worked out all body issues and the srt-4 eliminated the brake problem all together, the only issue i've encountered is the 2.4l had exessive crank play, in which case you would get a new shortblock from chrysler.
