the csl is stripped out. just think who would win if the 1800lbs of electronics was taken out of the benz. amg of course. bmw fans are like racists. they have no legitimate reason for why their car is better (when it's not always faster) so they just say, "bmw rules". and if the bimmer looses the race, they have a million excuses.

these are completely different cars, but the sl would have jumped off the line and pulled away if it was on michelin cup semi slicks :)

CSL Striptout nothing there , just hard ride. AMG full comfort tv navy leather and so on and so on. its simply useless to compare csl to amg. both are great but they just not even.CSL faster. Amg Better

yes, i am aslo a mercedes fan, but you cannot compare the highest prices.. you have to make differences in comfort, quality, efficiency, dynamics and so on.. well, that's my oppinion, your's may be different.. but i think you have to lokk at nearly all aspects to drive and buy such cars like bmw and mercedes.. audi is good, but not as goot as bmw and benz ;)

not really apples and oranges. the point that theyre trying to make is how reducing weight is beneficial. a car with 360 hp beating a car with 500 hp all because of weight reduction, thats something. against the gt3, the csl is slower, but if youve seen that top gear m3 csl episode you know that its not slower by much. love the csl, too bad they are not doing one for the latest generation m3...:(

no the driver WASNT quicker the sl was an automatic all he had to do was slam the gas down the m3 had to actually yknow SHIFT so ya its the weight that killed the merc

The m3 was off the line quicker because the driver was quicker. And it's faster than an m3, although I like my SL65, that would definitely own it

it catches up later because the m3 gets off the line faster because it weighs, idk 1000 pounds less? theres no debating the sl55 is faster cus it is its just a heavy peice of shit that isnt a sports car but a autobahn cruiser
