Original N54 engine has blow off valve. It's small and cheap plastic. So this owner replaced slightly large and more reliable after parts. Nothing stupid at all, expect your ignorance.

I love BMW's. I've had an American car (1995 Ford Thunderbird with over 200,000 miles still runs strong), right now I have a Japanese car (2005 Mazda RX8), and I'd love for my next car to be a BMW, GTI, or some European car. Kinda pricey but I love the sound of a BMW with a nasty BOV. Switching from recirculating to venting usually doesn't cause any horrific damage for most turbo cars. Just runs rich for a split second.

first of all, evo is not a piece of shit. hence you can't even probably afford an civic. second of all, obviously he likes the sound bov makes, don't hate on him for being even able to afford 335i. and how does bov make you a ricer? bov are part of a turbo system to help the air flow and it happens to make the "whoosh" sound, why he put in the bmw? since it already comes with turbo maybe to enojoy some real turbo feel? its not necessary in his car but thats his car, you shouldn't care

I blow my motor after install a bov... Shit ran good for about 8k miles, then out of nowhere I hear loud pinging or was it my piston discinigrating... What ever it was I know my baby was dead... Learn from me, get a tune with your bov and you should be all good...

you should not of put a blow off valve in a 335 your going to loose power.... the turbos were ment to recirculate the air therefore you should of just got better diverter valves and you would keep your power instead of loosing it... but it does sound nice
