With due respect to the Auto Union racers, their design simply doesn't translate very well when applied to a car like this. Thank God Audi realized this and ultimately went with the design of the R8, which is really sexy compared to this thing. I'd like to see a video of this thing in action though; it seems to have insane power figures!

also this rosemeyer concept was based on the auto union type C and type D of the thirties you can see the similar front grilles

yh i prefer the bentley tho because its english they wouldnt make it the fastest road car because of bentley heritage

The Bentley Hunaudieres was also built on the same platform. It's a special platform designed and engineered for concept cars, but it was heavily adapted and used in a production car for the Veyron.

yh but so does the bentley hunaudieres same engine without the quad turbo, this looks more like what spawned the production audi R8 or the le mans quattro concept
