Actually 87 was the 225hp 300tq ,88-92 lost a couple of horse a year until 93 when they changed the rating to 205hpbut that is essentially the same motor as a 91-92!!!

umm maybe it was a z28 body that someboody swapped out the 350 v8 for a base v6, maybe b/c the wanted better gas which the v6 is only slighter better, or they put in a v6 b/c the v8 was toasted

So the difference is that Thunderbird weighs 3800 lbs. and Mustang weighs 3200 lbs. Shed 600 lbs. on the Bird and that would be a great race!!
