I totally agree with reliability... My buddy has a old 1996 CVPI, when he got the car it had 210,000 miles, it now has over 300,000 miles. All he does is change the oil, and run the piss out of it.

"that is neat"

It's the same block size but the Marauders use a 4V engine instead of a 2V in the CVPI, that's all. It allows a little bit better air flow in and out of the engine.

my cuzin was getting chased on his gxr1000. he says they were on his ass till 160 or so(2 camaros and a mustang) then he pulled the throttl deeper and eventually got away. but still, cops in cars who can reach 150-ish is amazing, with all the added weight cops carry around on the daily.these car companies have to start offering these cars out of the dealership to the public

what engine. dont marauders use 4.6's just like the interceptors?? not arguing, trying to learn some. im heavier into jdm and bikes. i want to broaden my horizen:)

No, what I meant was if they put the 4V Marauder engine and made it heavy duty a la the CVPI. I know the duty engines will last forever (mine is only at 68290 miles or so) but what I meant was I was kind of surprised that the output's only 210-250 hp (depending on the year on the 1998+ CVPI's). Torque's still good on it (~280 ft lb.) but I would have liked to see a 4V setup on CVPI's in the future.

Are you talking about the race engine there, or the CVPI duty engine? I own a '99 CVPI, and I can tell you, those engines will run FOREVER. I got mine at 100k mileage, and it shows no signs of slowing down.

If they would just go to the Marauder engine.... :) I know that with a little bit of tuning, a Marauder will be easily on the tail of most Mustangs and Camaros. The thing is the engine must be durable (hence the reason why I think Ford hasn't done it already.)

Wish they would have put that powerplant in all '03 CVPI's ;) Actually, chances are for a lot less money, you could put that supercharger on the 4.6 2V modular that they have on there. Perhaps not as much raw power but still pretty badass if you ask me. (Once I get lucky and hit the lottery, my '03 CVPI's getting something like this ;) )

theyve been drivng camaros and stangs on the highway for years..now theyve graduated to pick ups and minivans...u cant out run a motorolla

Actually its: FUCKED ON RACE DAY

you mean the chargers? this ford is modified what meenmachine52 means is what a modded charger would be capable of. but yea i like this ford alot its big bad and bold.

they cant keep up

nice! i like the style of the crown vics... if they have the cash to do this to those ford engines, lets see what they can do to the new chargers they are using??

THATS a bad ass crown vic. they are getting smart my sister saw a cop on the highway driving acamaro

i was just waiting for that old gauy to say whipper snapper or something

well mabye it can catch a ferrari but, not a bugatti veyron

It probably could...haha

AND the ultimative of all ! :)

I would actually have fun getting pulled over by this thing. lol Its faster than my 2003 Kenne Bell Cobra. Ford: First On Race D ay

the cops are slowly getting smarter. its happening too soon. quick, go for the ferraris, this crown vic cant catch a ferrari!

I've always wondered why they didn't keep the 289 block, rather than doing the 281. the classic 289 is one of my favorite small block engines.

That one might be a bit harder to out run than most cop cars unless I go past the donut shop!

cobras come stock with eatons. kenne bell or whipple are the most popular supercharger upgrades for those motors

4.6 is a 281. They came supercharged in 03-04 cobra with 390 stock. This must have an eaton or whipple upgrade.
