Trans am's just screams muscle, the GTO is cool but it looks like a family car.

Oh ok. Cool shit then TIME TO SAVE MONEY! Lol. I'm definately getting one. My plans is to turbocharge mine and put one grade higher gears than stock into mine then it'll get a little better mileage and it'll be slower off the line but low geared cars are slower at the end of the race cause they're topped out at their gears so I'm hoping my hunch that it'll pull well at the end is correct. And it'll be hella fun to drive on the freeways.

oh yeah, they're the most fuel efficient V8's. i used to get around 25 mpg but now with my cam and everything i get about 15 in the city but 25 on the highway, but then again i still have 2.73 gears.

I plan to get a Trans Am for a second car soon. And I've heard claims of getting like 25 miles to the gallon around town. For the 2002 do you think thats possible with a newer V8? In like any case possible? Lol. I really wanna know cause I got a whole set plan of what to do with mine when I get it depending on its gas mileage.

if you read the about this video section it clearly states i had a full exhaust so we were both not bone stock

that gto driver was piss poor facts are the gto is a faster car if they both are stock with equal drivers ...look it up. so it was the driver ..damn sure not the car if they both were bone stock

I will take your word for it! I drove his "goat" and actually I liked the feel of the Firebird alot more. I felt that the "goat" was alot easier to steer than my car was, but then again not everybody likes a car with "tough" steering. My car has a 221 lunati cam now, and 3' exhaust/x-pipe with dual flowmaster american thunder mufflers!

Really? My friend has an '05 GTO and I have a 2000 Formula and I always tell him he will most probably win. But, I do know that his car is heavier than mine, and that weight works againts you in the long run.

The GTO is really not much slower. Off the line I bet it would win.

right now ive got pacesetter LT Headers, ORY magnaflow muffler SLP Cold Air Lid and SLP MAF. best time was 12.9 @ 108 but its in my garage right now were finsihing up a cam, stall converter ported ls6manifold and ported and polished TB.

In actuallity, that car was only a 600 HP car. And yes, at 600 HP, it could pull the front tires. Doesn't take any big block forced induction to hit 600 horse, 1,000 isn't a problem for a forced induction big block. I have an LS2 and a 454 in different vehicles, so I'm not biased, just saying.

well thats my car in the video. its a 99 trans am with some mods. best ive run is 12.9 in the 1/4 it goes in the shop in two weeks to get cam stall converter and gears. its gonna be amazing
