Dude, it's a fantastic car. I've been around a 2002 WS6 a lot and I have to say I rather like the LT1 engine! This thing is just so bad ass. This video needs to be longer and do it serious justice :)

My friend just bought a black 1997 WS6. He's due home tonight with it (he had to make a 9 hour drive to pick it up) and I can't wait. It's a bad ass car, for sure. I'm more a 'vette guy but I will always respect the fbodies as I've got one and love it. The '97 and 2002 WS6 are just pure sex.

01,auot, targa, shorties, magnaflow, hypertech and cold air intake. 40k miles. I still owe alot of cash on it so I have to keep it. Exterior is completely stock,engine mildly modded. 97 TA's are awesome, I used to own a firebird. I wish I would have gotten a 02 etc TA instead of my vette. :)

usquanigo maybe i was wrong to insult you, you seem very knowledgable but both camaro and trans am run the ls1. yes tahoes and cobalts are both gm but they dont share the same drivetrain. and yes i am very very aware of the history of the camaro, im a camaro freak. but i do understand what you are saying the t/a looks like its goona run you down, i love how they look. but the camaro isnt ugly common, with an ss hood rims you know all the little things a camaro can look just as good as a t/a

Yeah, Tahoes and Cobalts are both GM too, doesn't mean they are the same thing. XLRs and 'Vettes are both Y-Bodies, and not the same thing. There is a vital difference between a Trans Am and a camaro - the T/A is actually appealing, & NOT an ugly, boring, flat sided econo-box. But actually the differences run deeper than that, but that gets into the histories of the products, which seems is not what you're into. Do you feel better now, having slung insults over the internet though? lol

Yeah, I know about it. And am none too pleased. lol It's always been the lower class, inferior, econo-box sibling, not to mention uglier by a long shot. The performance and specs of the new one may be great, but I don't buy a chassis, powertrain and specs. I buy cars that stir the passion and no camaro will EVER be a substitute for a Trans Am. The new Challenger looks far better, and like a better overall ride and deal than the new camaro too. :) (still no substitute for a T/A however)

Apparently you haven't heard about the so-called "lowlife" Camaro that is coming out next year. This thing is RIDICULOUS. 400Hp The body style is a throwback to the Gen 1 Camaros that ran between 1967 and '69. Truth be told, if GM was releasing a new Trans Am, I would probably get that instead. Unfortunately, that's not an option right now but hopefully it will be in the future...
