A viper has no governor. When i bought mine i took it to the track and it topped out at 186mph. When i installed the twinturbo kit it bumped the power up to 953hp at the dyno. I took it back and got it upto 239mph, i had to let off because the car was becoming too unstable. Now to my point, if it was governed at 190 it would have cut the fuel off which it didnt.

1, what makes you think that was 1100 horses? I'd rather have a vette anyday. They are awesome cars, even in street trim, get good economy, and infinitely more streetable

hahah nebraska...i just saw that viper 2 days ago at the edgwater car show. the sticker on the back says something like 210 mph and still one gear to go. by far the fastest car ive ever seen on the street.

Um the new 2008 vipers do over 205MPH, the verts do 197 with the top down. Vipers reach speeds well over 200mph without being restricted, hell in 2001 SVS ran 247MPH with a stock body Dodge Viper GTS.
