Drop a whipple in the cobra.

They have dyno'd 1000+ RWHP on a stock longblock a few times, who knows how long it stayed together, probably not very long. They can safely run 600-650 RWHP for quite a while so long as they are tuned properly.

If im not mistaking 03 and 04 cobra's can handle 900+ on stock motor.... a mach 1 cant even come close to that

The '03 Cobra is quite a bit faster than the Mach 1 stock for stock. ~105 MPH trap speed for the Mach, compared to ~110-113 for the Cobra. I'd go with the Cobra, it's already got the blower, forged internals, stout T-56 and IRS (can always swap to a solid if you want) - but I prefer the ride/performance of the IRS. The Mach's internals are good for a little over 400 RWHP, then it's time to build the engine for anymore.

which stock, was faster, and how did you get them up to that hp? i might be getting one or the other which do you recomend?

how did you attatch it? I'm installing a saleen series IV SC (screw type like yours), and there's no where to mount my hood scoop. Do you just have it sitting on top unsecurely, letting the hood hold it in place?

Shaker is attatched to the top of the KB - but it isn't functional, just for looks. The intake is a standard intake, he has a JLT RAI intake on it now.

i was wondering if the screw type SC's interfere with the shaker hood... I would assume not so from this vid. Is that true?

I drove an 03 cobra today could barley here the Whine is that cause it still ad the cover on the screw?

Well when I bought it, the 2.8/2lb was already on installed, but I did add a 4lb later (once I had it ported) and noticed a difference, it dyno'd ~20-25lb/ft higher than the 2lb (w/ port) - surprised me.

Hey Rick, how much of a difference in torque does the 2lb lower make compared to an upper only? Is it a seat of the pants difference?

someone better teach that mach1 driver how to drive. 400 rwhp mach should stay right with a 460 rwhp cobra.power to weight mach is 400 pounds lighter.should have been a real close race!!!!

Besides the supercharger on the cobra. the mach 1 has an aluminum block with 10:1 compression with cast internals.(auto) 5 speed mach has forged crank. Cobra has iron block with 8.5:1 compression with forged internals. same heads but different cams.

a mach1 1 does not have a 96 cobra engine it has 2003 cobra heads on a gt bottom end it also has higher compression than a cobra much better than a 96 cobra

a mach 1 is a cobra motor without the blower and all the ground affects and such
